It was first observed in 2021, after announcement by Prime Minister&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Narendra_Modi\">Narendra Modi<\/a>. The day remembers the sufferings of many Indians during the partition. Several families were displaced and many lost their lives in the partition.
